2010 Honda Accord makes 10 Best list once again

Honda Accord San Francisco dealer Capitol Honda is pleased to announce that the 2010 Accord has been placed on Car and Driver’s 10best list for the 24th time in 28 years. The accord has been named on this list more than any other vehicle in the awards history. The Accord, available at new and used Accord San Francisco dealer Capitol, is a front-wheel-drive, 5-passenger, 4-door sedan. It has a lot of room inside and offers a number of comfort, convenience and safety features. The Accord offers a choice of two-four-cylinder engines and a 3.5-liter V-6. EPA ratings for the Accord models with either four-cylinder engine are 21 mpg city/31 highway with the automatic transmission. For the V-6 sedan the ratings are 19/29.

A few years ago, Honda dealers were disappointed when the Accord dropped to No. 2 on the list of the best-selling cars in the United States. Compared to other models by various other automakers the Accord became small and unaccommodating, with less passenger and cargo space. Then in 2008, the Accord was redesigned, which made the Honda loyal happy and put the Accord back in the lead. Honda promoted it’s newest generation of the Accord to a full-size sedan, moving it up from it’s previous position as a mid-size.

The Accord was chosen from a long list of 58 vehicles and after going through  rigorous 12,000 test miles, the list was compiled by 18 Car and Driver Magazine editors. The cars were rated on a scale of 1-100, with a focus on performance, driving satisfaction and value. Vehicles that were considered for the award must have been on the market by January 2009 and prices below $80,000.
